SUEZ reaffirms the need for a negotiated solution respecting its industrial project and calls on Veolia for restraint in its communication

SUEZ notes with perplexity the latest threatening press release from Veolia on March 7, 2021, and reiterates that:
  • SUEZ does not comment on market rumors, whether orchestrated or not;
  • The only known “dismantling” project is that planned by Veolia for the future of SUEZ;
  • The Board of Directors ensures that the Group's corporate interests are respected, with the objective of creating value and fair treatment for its shareholders as well as protecting the interests of its customers, employees and stakeholders;
  • SUEZ has a clear and ambitious strategic plan, SUEZ 2030, which has demonstrated its strength and efficiency with solid results published recently;

For several weeks now, SUEZ has proposed the opening of negotiations in order to find a solution that respects its industrial project as quickly as possible. In the interest of all parties, SUEZ reiterates this proposal and calls on Veolia to be restrained and calm in its communication.
