Less than a month prior to the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), which will take place in Nice from June 9th to 13th, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of Nice Côte d'Azur Métropole, Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, and Arnaud Bazire, CEO of SUEZ Water in France, laid the foundation stone for Haliotis 2. This major construction project will give rise to Nice Côte d'Azur Metropole's future wastewater treatment and recovery complex, that has been designed to preserve the Mediterranean Sea.

The AZUR local authority has entrusted SUEZ with the modernisation and operation of the Argenteuil’s energy recovery unit (ERU).

SUEZ and Empresa Pública de Águas de Luanda (EPAL E. P.), the water management company for the provinces of Luanda, Icolo and Bengo, have launched a new contract to modernize the water supply in these three provinces. Signed in 2022 for a total of €100 million over 3 years, the contract began in April 2025, serving the territory's 12 million inhabitants.

Christian Pouget, Prefect of the Aude department, Régis Banquet, President of Carcassonne Agglo, Vice-President of Intercommunalités de France and Mayor of Alzonne, and Pierre Pauliac, Co-CEO of SUEZ and Chief Operating Officer Water, inaugurated the Saint-Jean wastewater treatment plant's anaerobic digestion unit on April 30th.

SUEZ is supporting the Gabonese authorities in improving drinking water services. The agreement includes a know-how transfer program for SEEG teams and the restoration of the company's financial stability. This €200 million five-year contract is supported by the French government, which will facilitate the granting of a loan at competitive rates.

A landmark seawater desalination plant, designed and built by SUEZ for Wanhua Chemical Group—one of the world’s top 20 chemical companies—has officially begun operations at Wanhua Chemical’s Penglai Industrial Park in Yantai, Shandong.

SUEZ and the CNRS have signed a five-year framework agreement to combine their R&D efforts and develop innovative solutions to promote sustainable resource management and new decarbonisation technologies.

SUEZ, a global leader in environmental services, and JEMCO, a premier construction company in the Philippines, together with Metro Pacific Water, a key water and wastewater infrastructure investor fully-owned by Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), commenced the construction of a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination facility in Metro Iloilo— the largest of its kind in the Philippines. Slated to be completed in 24 months, this project will help address the critical shortage of drinking water in the region, supplying sustainable and reliable potable water to local communities.

In Ternay, to the south of France’s Chemical Valley, the Syndicat Mixte d’Eau Potable Rhône-Sud authority and SUEZ start to build a solution for the treatment of PFAS in drinking water. This technological solution, patented by SUEZ, is being used for the first time in France to deal with the issue of “forever chemicals”. It will ensure water quality for more than 170,000 users in the Southern Lyon area supplied by the Ternay plant.

SUEZ signed a joint venture agreement with Sonadezi, a state-owned company who has developed and currently manages 11 large-scale industrial parks in Vietnam, to provide integrated environmental solutions to the largest industrial park in South Vietnam. This strategic partnership marks SUEZ’s first industrial park project in Vietnam and its 22nd in Asia, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the region’s sustainable growth with circular, resilient industrial water and waste solutions.
