SUEZ proposes solutions for the mining companies through innovative technologies, but also collaborative projects with different stakeholders. Come meet us at the Mining in Water 2019 event in Toronto (April 9-10, 2019) to find out about our collaborative approach.
Urbanization, electric cars and renewable energy, to name a few, are driving the growth of the mining industry. At the same time, easily accessible resources are becoming scarce, which leads to new projects in different regions all around the world. These trends lead to the closures of certain mines and the creation of new ones. In both cases, these activities have a potential societal and environmental impact.
As an example, 70% of the projects of the top six major groups in the mining industry are in regions exposed to water stress. These circumstances are creating a landscape where only projects with an increased consideration for environmental and societal impact coupled with advanced methods of exploration and new business models can fuel the growth of mining activities.
SUEZ recognizes these challenges and proposes solutions through innovative technologies, but also collaborative projects with the different stakeholders. We've proved our expertise and gained experience with the implementation of societal related projects in Meknes (Morocco), Santiago del Chile (Chile) and As Samra (Jordan).
