Wastewater treatment plants
Efficient treatment solutions that even make it possible to reuse treated water.

The effective management of wastewater and stormwater networks is a major financial and environmental issue.
Utilities are faced with the need to reduce operational costs, to limit the harmful effects of spills and pollutant discharges while optimising investments in storage infrastructure. Furthermore, in many countries (particularly in Europe), regulations impose limits on the volume of spills, which must be adhered to in order to avoid financial penalties.
Relying on clear and purpose-built monitoring and management tools will enable a utility to know its network performance in real time, anticipate weather events and their potential impact on the network, and take preventive measures to optimise operations.
The Aquadvanced urban drainage solution is engineered to lower operational costs, minimise spills, and mitigate their harmful effects, featuring three levels of functionality:
"Prevention is better than cure"
By processing meteorological data alongside information from network sensors, our Aquadvanced urban drainage Anticipation software enables operators to forecast water levels at any point in the network at least three hours in advance. This allows for the implementation of preventive measures and the anticipation of requirements for wastewater and rainwater management. This proactive approach allows wastewater operators to optimise their resources and ensure efficient and sustainable management of their sanitation infrastructure.
By reducing spills and improving the management of floods and potential pollution, regulatory compliance is enhanced while simultaneously protecting the environment and public health.
Seeking to significantly reduce spills while minimising investment costs associated with storage requirements?
Our Aquadvanced urban drainage Advanced control wastewater solution has been developed to address this challenge by providing real-time support in adapting the sanitation system to rainfall and flow conditions.
In the context of increasingly stringent regulations, the overload of sewerage networks can have numerous negative consequences, foremost among them the release of pollutants into the environment.
Aquadvanced urban drainage Advanced Control supports compliance with environmental requirements by analysing rainfall and flow fluctuations. This is achieved through the implementation of flow regulation tools at strategic points within the network, such as valves and motorised valves and by providing real-time adaptation instructions.
This approach enables optimisation of wastewater network operations, significantly reducing the impact of spills and flooding (by up to 50%) while enhancing regulatory compliance.
In addition, thanks to this optimised and proactive management, Aquadvanced urban drainage Advanced Control can reduce storage capacity requirements by half, delivering substantial cost savings and more efficient use of resources.
Bordeaux (France) is located in a region particularly vulnerable to flooding due to its hydrographic location, the recurrent flooding of the Garonne and a local climate conducive to storms.
Since the end of the 1990s, issues related to the quality of discharges during rainy periods and their impact on the receiving environment have been at the heart of the municipality's policies in the field of water.
To respond to this rainwater management issue, Bordeaux Métropole used the Aquadvanced urban drainage solution, with a clear objective: to reduce and control spills, and to optimise rainwater storage and treatment capacities.
The results were immediate:
The Aquadvanced urban drainage solution processes real-time measurements from wastewater and rainwater networks, the natural environment and meteorological data.
Thanks to continuous monitoring, the ability to anticipate weather events, and assistance in optimising the sanitation system, flow control within the networks is improved, thereby reducing spills into the natural environment.
The Aquadvanced urban drainage solution is composed of 3 levels.
The "Monitoring" offer allows operators to monitor the hydraulic situation of the network and the quality of discharges into the natural environment in real time and continuously. Using a geographical dashboard of the wastewater network, there is a detailed and real-time view of rainfall and network flows, performance information, and field operations monitoring.
The "Anticipation" level provides a proactive approach to environmental risk management by enabling the modelling and forecasting of flooding risks within the network or watercourses, as well as the potential pollution risks to natural marine or river environments.
The "Advanced control" level calculates optimised management strategies for the wastewater system in real time, mobilising storage capacities at the right locations and times to enable proactive and efficient management of wastewater networks.
This helps to reduce storage capacity requirements and minimise overflows and flooding.
Furthermore, the effluent sent to treatment plants is smoothed over time, thereby optimising the plants’ treatment capacity.
