Information on SUEZ’s governance

SUEZ’s Nomination and Compensation Committee, which met on May 27th, has unanimously decided to propose to the Board of directors the appointment of Xavier Girre as CEO of SUEZ.

Xavier Girre has acquired solid managerial, industrial, and financial experience over the course of more than twenty-five years. He has developed in-depth knowledge of the water and waste industries through his roles within Veolia Group. As member of the executive committees of La Poste and EDF Groups, Xavier Girre has also acquired extensive experience as a business leader.

In addition, Xavier Girre also has a good knowledge of the SUEZ Group, being a member of the Board of directors and Chairman of the Group's CSR Committee since June 2023.

Thanks to his experience and knowledge of SUEZ's businesses, Xavier Girre will be able, with all the Group's teams, to meet the needs of SUEZ Group's customers, local authorities, territories and industrials, and to implement a growth strategy for the benefit of all SUEZ's stakeholders.

Biography
Xavier Girre, 56 years old, joined EDF in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer for France. Since 2024, Xavier Girre has been Group Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Performance, Impact, Investment and Finance Directorate at EDF. From 2011 to 2015, he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of La Poste and Chairman of XAnge Private Equity. From 1999 to 2011, Xavier Girre was Chief Risk and Audit Officer of Veolia Environnement and Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Veolia Transport and Veolia Propreté. Xavier Girre is also member of the Board of directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of La Française des Jeux. Graduate of HEC and IEP of Paris, he is a former student of ENA and began his career at the French Cour des Comptes.
