SUEZ supports Greater Moscow in its smart management strategy for rubble and construction waste
In order to improve mobility, the City of Moscow is implementing a comprehensive urban transport development plan. This includes developing a multi-modal transport network by 2021, including the development of the subway, with more than 60 stations and 140km of new lines within Greater Moscow.
To support these major projects, which will generate over 50 million cubic meters of rubble, the City wants to optimise construction waste management, from treatment to recovery and including reuse, but also to ensure its traceability. The objectives of the strategy are to reduce inconvenience to users, to improve Greater Moscow’s environmental footprint and to ensure soil remediation, while at the same time controlling costs.
SUEZ will provide its expertise in sustainable cities and the circular economy, being particularly involved in drawing up a master plan including the implementation of digital solutions.
The strategic cooperation between SUEZ and MIP will help to define the master plan for the waste derived from development of the urban transport project of Greater Moscow, including the optimization of the methods of recovery.
