The LYS WATER SUPPLY SYNDICATE (SMAEL) chooses SUEZ environnement to manage the production of its drinking water for 5 years and for a total of €23 million

Every year, the LYS WATER SUPPLY SYNDICATE (SMAEL) produces 20 million m3 of drinking water that contributes to the water supplies for the Lille conurbation, the Lens-Liévin conurbation and seven localities in the Pas de Calais department in northern France. The syndicate has chosen SUEZ environnement to produce its drinking water under the terms of a 5-year public service delegation contract that will take effect on 1 January 2016.
