Our 2017-2021 road map

In keeping with previous versions, the new 2017-2021 road map was drawn up on the basis of an extensive internal and external consultation procedure targeting over 5,000 people and using different types of tools. This materiality analysis enabled us to prioritize all the different issues at stake and also consult panels of employees, individual shareholders and external stakeholders. This strong process of dialogue enabled us to include new and emerging issues into the road map.

Four priorities and 17 commitments for global performance

The new road map, which was adopted by the management committee in December of 2016, and by the ethics and sustainable development committee in February of  2017, covers all of the group related activities worldwide.

It contributes to shaping a sustainable environment now. It fulfils two other functions:

  • To drive and manage transformation. It is made up of 17 time-limited, quantified commitments as well as action plans to fulfil these commitments by 2021,
  • To help achieve the sustainable development goals defined by the UN in 2015.

As with the 2012-2016 road map, these new commitments will be accompanied by indicators of results and progress. They will be published annually in the company’s integrated report, along with a verification by an independent third party. They will also provide the opportunity for annual dialogue with a panel of internal and external stakeholders, who will challenge and, if necessary, adjust how the action plans are implemented.
