Signing of the OSIS sale agreement

In accordance with the press release of August 18th, SUEZ is today announcing the signature of an agreement to sell OSIS—a French subsidiary specialized in a range of sanitation services—to Veolia, after consultation with employee representative bodies.

In 2019, OSIS generated revenue of approximately €311 million in France, and approximately €23 million in adjusted pro forma EBITDA. Upon completion of the transaction, the transferred business will have a market value of €298 million, i.e. approximately 13 times the pro forma adjusted EBITDA for 2019.

Once approved by the competition authorities, this sale will be part of SUEZ’s asset rotation program aimed at aligning its business portfolio with its “Shaping SUEZ 2030” strategy. The “Shaping SUEZ 2030” strategic plan refocuses the Group towards high added-value activities with integrated top-tier technological content and innovation. The goal is to more effectively rise to meet environmental challenges and to shape a sustainable environment starting now. The sale is expected to take effect in the first half of 2021.

Employing 2,500 people across more than 130 local service centers, OSIS operates complementary business segments: sanitation and liquid waste collection, industrial cleaning, and building hygiene.
