A plant to meet growing needs

Started in April 2025, the construction of the BITA drinking water production plant marks a major milestone in improving public water services. With a capacity of 259,200 m³/day and 50,000 m³ of storage, this infrastructure will supply more than 3 million inhabitants.

BITA is among the largest plants ever built by SUEZ in sub-Saharan Africa.

Technological innovation for the environment

The BITA plant integrates advanced processes, such as Pulsatube and Aquazur technologies, which reduce the physical footprint and facilitate future expansions. It also contributes to reducing water leaks, a priority challenge for EPAL. These choices reflect the Group’s ambition to offer resilient, scalable, and environmentally friendly solutions.
