The challenge was to conserve and accurately manage the nation’s limited water resources. This small region has significant requirements to ensure it meets the intense water demand.

Macau Water implemented Aquadvanced® Water Networks solution

Aquadvanced® Water Networks is a comprehensive real-time software solution designed to continuously monitor and manage the performance of drinking water networks. It offers a platform that collects and processes massive amount of data from various sources, allowing operators and communities to quickly detect and manage problems, reduce water losses, maintain water quality, and meet regulatory compliance.
The result

Macau Water now has a global view of its water networks, with hourly data feeds, pressure and glow variation tends can be analysed and qualified immediately, providing significant improvement in event traceability and thus ensuring that problems, such as leaks, are mended much more quickly.

Examples of some of the results:


  • In the initial 28 months, 158 events were detected and verified
  • A major burst at the University of Macau was identified and repaired, saving three days of university consumption, approximately 5,000m3 of water
