Steel & surface treatment industry

The metal and plastic surface treatment industry is a source of emissions to air, such as Nitrogen Oxides, Hydrogen Chloride, Hydrogen Fluoride and particles. Also, hexavalent chromium vapors in some coating processes, and ammonia from, for example, the handling of copper in the electronic components production as well as in deposition processes. In some cases, these industrial processes involve the emission of odoriferous compounds (casting processes, mold production, etc.) or VOCs (painting and other surface treatments) that require very specific solutions in which Suez Air Quality has successfully worked.
These emissions into the atmosphere require control and treatment to guarantee compliance with the in force regional Integrated Environmental Authorizations and the corresponding local regulations.

The SUEZ Air Quality & Climate team, with more than 25 years of experience and presence in more than 50 countries, provides innovative solutions for the monitoring, modeling, control, and treatment of atmospheric emissions from the steel industry and surface treatments.
