SUEZ India Rejoices in the Spirit of Cultural Diversity

May 21st is globally celebrated as the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. A day dedicated to embracing and appreciating the richness of our diverse community and recognising the differences that make us unique. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, celebrating cultural diversity allows us to break down barriers, foster understanding, and promote empathy. It encourages us to look beyond our own perspectives and embrace the multitude of ways in which people experience life.
By embracing diverse perspectives and experiences, organizations can stimulate innovation. According to a report by Deloitte, inclusive teams have 80% better business performance (Deloitte, 2018 "The Diversity and Inclusion Revolution: Eight Powerful Truths") and a study by McKinsey found that companies with diverse workforces are 35% more likely to outperform their industry peers in terms of financial returns (McKinsey & Company, 2020 "Diversity wins: How inclusion matters").
Suez India wholeheartedly celebrated this day with the entire staff. Colleagues indulged in activities for an entire week to celebrate the spirit of diversity in cultures. From potluck to cultural performances to sharing values of one’s culture, the entire week was a huge celebration of how inclusive our organisation is and how we embrace the differences we have. 
Colleagues from regions across India, as well as from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also joined in on the celebration. This reiterated SUEZ India’s values on inclusion and diversity that stem from ensuring we all equally contribute towards the success of SUEZ. It is the culture of our organisation that makes it one of the best places to work.
