Cleargreen™ Mainstream is a solution that enables water utilities to recover resources from wastewater and transform it into energy. The technology reduces oxygen consumption by 50% compared to conventional treatment and increases biogas production, supporting water utilities on their journey towards a carbon neutral future.

Chief Executive Officer of SUEZ in Australia & New Zealand, Mark Venhoek, said he was delighted that this SUEZ technology has been acknowledged in Australia.

SSUEZ's partnership with forward thinking water utility, South East Water, through the Boneo Water Recycling Treatment Plant upgrade is an important milestone for the acceleration of water treatment innovation in Australia. The upgrade will deliver the first implementation of the technology in Australia and will help make a positive difference to over 150,000 people in the Mornington Peninsula.
