Group specific waste streams for better re-use

Implement specific waste stream collection schemes

We enter partnerships with start-ups, local associations and NGOs to organise the collection of special waste. The goal is to group together this disparate waste that is difficult to recycle in order to re-use it.

By way of example, SUEZ has teamed up with Terracycle to set up a system for the collection of specific waste streams that are not handled by the traditional sorting processes, because they are difficult to recycle (cigarette ends, disposable products, supple packaging, office supplies, cosmetics, dental products, used coffee capsules).

Today, almost 60 million collectors in Europe have already joined voluntary collection programmes “sponsored” by communities or companies, or recycling services funded by businesses, such as the “Zero waste box”.
