Percolates

Water having percolated through pollutants, in particular those in a landfill or a technical burial centre (TBC). Landfill percolates consist of seepage, runoff and precipitation water which percolates through the mass of buried waste, and is loaded with mineral as well as organic matter as a result.

Potable water

Water, the consumption of which does not present a risk for human health. Its quality is subject to laws and regulations.

Potable water supply

All the equipment, services and actions enabling, from raw water, the production of water compliant with the currently applicable potability standards, for distribution thereafter to consumers. There are 4 distinct stages in supplying water: withdrawal and catchment, treatment to make the water potable, adduction (transport and storage), and distribution to the consumer.

Processing

Reduction, within controlled conditions, of the initial pollutant potential of waste and/or waste volumes before landfill.

Profit warning

An announcement to the stock market by a company, warning that profits will fall short of the levels expected by the financial community.

Public Buy-Back Offer

A company can buy back up to 10% of its own securities, under certain conditions.

Public Offer of Exchange

The takeover takes place by exchanging shares according to a parity defined in advance.

Public Offer of Withdrawal

A procedure by which a shareholder owning at least 95% of the voting rights for the company whose shares are listed on a regulated market, makes an offer to withdraw the remaining shares from the market.

Public Takeover bid

Publicly-stated intention by a group to take over a company by buying out the shares.
