Float
The number of a company’s shares that is outstanding and available for trading on the stock exchange. The larger the float, the higher the liquidity of the securities.
Flocculant
A substance that has the property of flocculating, i.e. aggregating in flake form the particles of colloids in suspension in a solvent.
Flotation
A stage in separation (by difference in density), which consists in using gas micro-bubbles to bring solid matter suspended in water to its surface. The scum produced is then removed by raking.
Fly ash
Residues from domestic waste inicneration fume cleansing.
