SUEZ: lead sponsor of the French national soccer team and of French National Soccer Federation
The SUEZ commitment alongside the French national soccer team is a tremendously motivating challenge, reflecting the Group's resolve to unite its personnel behind projects shared in common and representing major collective undertakings. It is a unique opportunity to advance deep-seated Group values which employees share with the French national soccer team, values which are also important in sports – team spirit, partnership, ethics, professionalism, and performance.
SUEZ: sponsorship of Raphaëla Le Gouvello windsurfing solo in 2006 across the Indian Ocean. Raphaëla Le Gouvello's adventure is a tremendous human challenge that represents for her a commitment, as a citizen of the planet, to help others and to fight for a cause: sustainable development.
In France, for several years the SUEZ subsidiary Elyo has supported
the French Judo Federation and the French Handball Federation. These two sports federations were selected because they involve sports with wide popular appeal and which, for their youngest as well as their older practitioners, value qualities that the Group also holds dear: respect for others, teamwork, an appetite for effort, and unpretentiousness.
The Group also supports various sports clubs at the local and regional levels (soccer, horseback riding, fencing, auto racing, etc.), all of which adhere to strict rules of honor and ethics.
