GreenFacts is an independent organization based in Brussels. Its purpose is to communicate, in an unbiased way, the scientific aspects of health and environment topics.
To do so, GreenFacts publishes, on www.greenfacts.org, faithful summaries of scientific consensus reports produced by large panels of experts and published by international organization such as WHO, FAO or the European Commission.
These reports present the state of the scientific knowledge on these complex issues, and GreenFacts summaries, written is a language for non specialists, make that knowledge widely accessible.
GreenFacts ensures the quality and impartiality of its summaries through a strict publication procedure, including peer-review by independent experts and final approval by its Scientific Board (See list at about.greenfacts.org/whos-who/scientific-board.htm).
SUEZ contributes to the development of GreenFacts since 2004 by providing a structural funding that allows GreenFacts to fulfill its mission independently. SUEZ also contributed to the printing of a Biodiversity foldout presenting the GreenFacts summary of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Biodiversity Synthesis report.
