SOCIAL DIALOG
In 1995, SUEZ created its European Instance of Dialogue (E.I.D) as a means to encourage and sustain dialogue and communication with employees on matters of social relevance.
The EID facilitates the exchange of ideas and experiences with 47 representatives of 15 nationalities and, through business-specific commissions on Energy, Water and Waste Services, frames these exchanges in a community-focused dialogue.
It provides members with a source of information and a forum for discussing business, financial, and social questions. The EID also provides a forum for constructive thinking about cross-disciplinary topics such as health, safety, and training.
Among its involvements, the European Instance of Dialogue participated actively in the development of the International Social Charter ratified and co-signed in October 1998 by the Group and its employee representatives.
